Admin Photo Upload Guide
Step-by-step instructions for uploading and managing gallery images
Step 1: Access the Gallery Manager
- Log in to your admin account
- Go to Admin Dashboard
- Click the Images tab
Step 2: Upload a Photo
Click the + Add Image button
Title *
Descriptive name (e.g., "Wineglass Bay Sunrise")
Image URL *
Upload or paste the image URL
Alt Text
SEO-friendly description for search engines and accessibility
Gallery
Main photography gallery page
Hero
Full-screen banner on a specific page
Wildlife About
About page wildlife section
Home Featured
Featured images on home page
Home Captured Moments
Carousel of captured moments on home page
When you select "Hero" as the display location, these options become available:
Hero Opacity (0-100)
Controls overlay darkness. Higher = darker overlay for better text readability
Animation
Choose from: Zoom In, Zoom Out, Pan Left, Pan Right, Pan Up, Pan Down
Position
Where the image focuses (e.g., "center", "center top", "center bottom")
✓ Image Quality
Use high-resolution images (minimum 1200px wide). Ensure proper exposure and focus.
✓ SEO & Accessibility
Write descriptive alt text, use specific locations, and include relevant tour tags.
✓ Hero Images
Use landscape orientation (1920x1080px), adjust opacity for text readability, use animations that fit the mood.
✓ Organization
Use display order numbers to arrange images, mark favorites as "Featured", use tour tags for discoverability.
Image not showing up?
• Check the image URL is correct and accessible
• Ensure you clicked "Create Image" to save
• Try clearing your browser cache
Hero text hard to read?
• Increase the Hero Opacity value
• Use a darker image
• Choose a different page
Photo appears cropped?
• Adjust the Position setting
• Try "center", "center top", or "center bottom"
• Upload a landscape-format image
Can I upload multiple photos at once?
Currently, photos must be uploaded one at a time through the form.
What image formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, and WebP formats work best for quality and performance.
How many photos can I upload?
There's no limit—upload as many as you'd like!
Can I use the same photo in multiple locations?
Yes! Check the "Also in Gallery" checkbox to show it in additional places.
How do I edit or delete a photo?
Find the photo in the Images list, then click Edit (pencil) or Delete (trash) buttons.
