Does This Feel Painfully Familiar?

It's All Guesswork!

I feel nervous when I take my camera out - I'm just aiming at something and hoping for the best.

I'm a bit embarassed...

I have a really nice camera, and no idea how to use it - but everyone keeps asking me to take photos

I'm Inconsistent

Sometimes I get it right - but I never know how! I need to understand what I'm doing right so I can replicate it!

Editing takes so long...

I'd rather be taking photos, not stuck behind my screen all day. How can I take great photos IN CAMERA that don't need hours of editing?

Google this, YouTube that...

Google it, watch it on YouTube to understand that,  and back to Google to understand THAT.  The cycle is endless.  I just need help so that it all starts making sense.

If You Relate, Rest Assured - You're Not Alone!
In Fact ... You're Normal.

Lots of people, just like you, have bought an expensive camera and thought they could jump straight in and start taking great photos.  And lots of people, just like you, suddenly realised they were WAAAAAY out of their depth!

Then it starts – looking for answers on Google; Watching COUNTLESS videos on YouTube; and possibly buying lots of expensive, online courses that either covered what you already knew, or used so much jargon that you couldn’t make head nor tail of it….

So then you think….do I sell the darn thing?  That’s embarassing.  I can leave it in the cupboard – what a white elephant!  Or I can use it and never touch a single button – I may as well just use my phone!

But what if I gave you a roadmap for success with your digital camera?

What if I gave you access to the tools, know how, and insider secrets that you need to create amazing photos that you
and your loved ones, will adore? Would that make a difference to you?

Why The Camera Confidence Workshop?
And Why the Melbourne Zoo?

Saturday November 30th, 9am - 5pm

Take Photos Like This:

Eclectus at the Melbourne Zoo
Southern Cassowary at the Melbourne Zoo

Let's cut to the chase - learning photography is tougher than ever.

Modern cameras have some amazing features which should make taking great photos easy – but only if you can find those features, understand their purpose, and put them to good use!

It’s not surprising that you are disappointed with your results, get frustrated, and just wish it could be easier.

And you don’t want to have to struggle for years to start taking the kind of photos that you brought this camera for in the first place.

You want it now – and you can have it now!

I’ve worked hard to develop the ultimate, comprehensive workshop designed to give you confidence with your  camera.  To give you the inspiration to get out there and have fun with it, to play with it, and to start taking amazing photos that will thrill your family and friends.  Learn the secrets, tips and tools that I use to take great photos ‘in camera’,  so that before you even start editing you have the raw material for a fabulous finished image.  No more trying to ‘rescue’ photos after the fact!

Once you understand the fundamentals of photography, it stops becoming guesswork – and you can use your newfound knowledge of the power contained in your camera’s settings to start bringing your imagination to life – as art.

Photography becomes fun again….like it was always supposed to be.

BUT THIS WORKSHOP OFFERS EVEN MORE!

With all the content of my standard ‘Camera Confidence Workshop’, this EXTENDED 8 hour workshop offers you the opportunity to spend a further three hours capturing images of the Melbourne Zoo’s beautiful exhibits, putting into practice everything you have just learned.  You will be fully supported by me as we explore the exhibits together, fine tuning your settings and leaving with some stunning photos.

FAQ's

A DSLR is the ideal camera for this workshop.  However, if you have a camera which allows you to manually adjust the settings, you will benefit from the workshop.

Absolutely – the principals of photography still apply, which is what this workshop is all about.

We don’t recommend this.  We have had participants take part with high end mobiles who felt they benefited, but this course is not designed for phone photography.

This class is designed from beginners, through to serious amateurs. I suggest taking a look at our reviews on Facebook to get an indication of the levels of experience that have found benefit from this class.

Tripod, it’ll make life a lot easier for you. If you don’t own one try and borrow one. Chances are after the workshop you’ll want one.

Extra batteries for your camera (just to be safe)

Your camera manual. (very important)

A hat and some sunblock (optional) as we will be outside.

There are opportunities to buy lunch, but feel free to bring your own.  And don’t forget something to drink,

Many, if not all,  of the zoo workshops advertised are much shorter. While I can’t speak for all of them, most describe a very basic introduction to your camera, and you are then ‘shown’ what settings to use as you are exploring the zoo. This is great if you are just after some great photos on the day, but the knowledge doesn’t always translate to better photography ongoing which is our aim.

I have had many students comment that in other workshops everything is done for them – one student had even bought a set of filters but had NO idea how to actually put them on her camera, let alone  use them when she took our class as they had been put onto the camera for her and the settings then ‘done for her’.   We want you to leave our workshop with new skills, not just a fun day (although its that too!)

Take a look at all of the inclusions to see where the value lies, and take a look at our reviews to see what others have to say.

Absolutely, we include a month of email follow up, PLUS a 30 minute coaching call, and we are always happy to help!

We are so confident that you will be happy with this workshop, that we offer a 100% money back guarantee – if you are not happy, just let us know on the day and we will refund your money, no questions asked.
